We founded Ties of Love in order to make an impact and to give back to our community with the item that brings us the most comfort and warmth when we need the support.

 

One of our founders, Irene Kang was born three months early. She experienced her time in the incubator, and received a tie blanket herself. Kang still has the blanket with her as she grew older, having it throughout the years to support her when she needed the security. This inspired Kang to pay it forward in hopes to make an impact throughout her community with her passion of creativity and crafts and experience of making tie blankets.

 

Our other founder, Bella Palermo has her own experience with creating tie blankets, throughout her sophomore year within a club at her school that represented leadership and assisting our peers. Palermo wanted to create this organization because she wanted to remind people in challenging times that there's hope and that there are people who support and have them in their thoughts. Palermo ultimately wants to give others comfort when they are in a challenging situation and create new connections with the people in our community. 

 

Ava Meyer, founder for Ties of Love, spent every week during her own spare time hand making tie blankets at her school, portraying her selfless motivations to the community around her. Meyer wanted to create this organization because of her love of being able to help the people in need. Meyer grew up learning the importance of giving back to her community and to advocate those who may be experiencing their own hardships. Meyer continues to strive to fill the absence of someone's source of comfort.
